Day 13!

Well today was a wonderful day!!! It was my mom's birthday! We started the day off by going up to her house and helping her and my dad pick the apricots for her birthday (the 100s and 100s of them!) which was really fun! It was her birthday request! I thought it was going to be miserable because of the heat, but it was actually fun to sit out there with my parents and my sister and my hubby and kids! We did that for about 2 hours, and yes it was hot! But I really enjoyed it! We laughed and talked, and made jokes! It was just really nice!
Then we went in and had turkey wraps and fruit smoothies for lunch! My mom made some yummy smoothies! Then Ryan and Kristiena came with their kids and we sat and talked! Which was fun too! Well little did my mom know that my sister had planned with all the rest of us to meet/surprise my parents at dinner tonight at my mom's restaurant choice! So we all left her house to "go home" for the night, and we really went to the restaurant before them! So her and my dad came walking in and we all stood up so she could see us. Well as soon as she did she started to tear up! so cute! (It would not be my mom if she didn't) (and I love that about her!) So we ate a wonderful dinner!
Then we all met at her house after for cake and presents! Kristiena was so kind and offered to make the cake! But for her gifts we decided (all of us kids) to go in on a gift together! We decided to get her a New digital Camera! She has wanted one for a long time, one that has the "anti-shaking" thing on it. So now she can blog, and download pictures that she takes! She was so excited to see it! She again, got teary eyed! We also gave her a camera case with it! Then we played a few games, and just enjoyed each others company! It was a wonderful day/night!
Mom I just want to tell you how much I love you and how much I look up to you and respect you! You are one of the MOST Christ like people I know! and I will always say that! I am so thankful for your love and your guidance that you have shown/given to my through out my life! I wanted to think of some memories I have of you and these are a few I came up with...
When I was about 8 years old, we were living and your parents house while we were building our new house. Well I remember sitting on your bed, and it was just you and I. And we talked about something that was bothering me.(I wont put it on here) But I just remember you telling me that everything was going to be ok, and that none of it was my fault! and I will just never forget how loved I felt by you and how much I looked up to you and safe and secure I felt because you were my mom!
The next one was when you would let Krystal and me dress up in your wedding dress, and your dress from Jeanne's wedding! I just remember how special it made me feel that you would let us do that, and how beautiful I felt because "I was in my mom's beautiful wedding dress!"
The next is when you, Krystal and I (oh and Bailee) went to Vegas! It was so much fun! We had so much time to just talk to each other! There was lots of laughter, love and joy on that trip! I will never forget when you both surprised me with the Celine concert ticket! I was soooooooo thankful and happy and grateful that you gave up your ticket for me, and on top of that watched my little Bailee (who was what, about 8-9 months) while we went to the concert! Such a wonderful and kind thing to do!
Well there are many many many more, But those were the first 3 that came to me! Mom, I really want you to know that I love you sooooooooo much! I really do look up to you in so many ways! You were and still are a wonderful mother, and I try so hard to follow in your footsteps! You are also a wonderful wife and friend! You are so kind and so willing to help others, even when you have a lot going on, or you don't feel good or something like that! You are always willing to help no matter what! Just know I love you so much and am so thankful and grateful you are my MOMMY! I hope you have a wonderful year, and I hope that all of your wishes come true! You are the best! Keep being "YOU!"
Love Annie
